Lizzy is an undergraduate student pursuing a BSc in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science at DCU. She joined the PUreTex team as a student research assistant in 2025, as part of the INTRA programme at DCU. The PUreTex project investigates chemical recycling of post-consumer polyester textiles to make sustainable polyurethane materials. Lizzy will utilise & build on the skills & knowledge she acquired while working with the PUreTex team throughout the final year of her undergraduate career, and thereafter.
