Masoumeh Hafezi

Masoumeh Hafezi received her PhD in Life Cycle Assessment of biobased products from the University of Tehran in 2020, where her research focused on sustainability assessment in wood-based composite industries. She then went on to hold postdoctoral positions at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and the National Forest Center in Zvolen, working on LCA and sustainability assessments of agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, and wood processing systems. She also spent time as a guest researcher at Radboud University in the Netherlands in 2019. Masoumeh is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Trinity College Dublin, working on LCA and sustainability assessment of hybrid renewable energy systems. She has also joined the PUreTex project, where she applies her expertise in life cycle thinking and circularity to assess the environmental performance of chemically recycled PET textiles and their potential for producing valuable materials for new polymer applications.
